The first of what we hope will become a regular feature here, is about a family home in a popular turning in Leigh-on-Sea. It is one which should have been snapped up quickly. But it wasn’t.
It was a home which was immaculately presented throughout and had been cleverly extended by the current owners some years previously to create a super spacious home for their family.
Now that the children had moved out, the owners were hoping to downsize and relocate out of the area, nearer to where their son had moved to. The fact that they had been on the market with another agent for some months now without success had really frustrated them.
WHAT DID WE DO DIFFERENTLY?
Once at the property we came up with a new marketing plan that we were confident would reach far more buyers. Through our network of some 600 branches we would aim heavily at the London market where traditionally a huge number of purchasers relocate from. These purchasers are coming from far more expensive areas and our plan would result in a higher offer being generated as a result of this marketing.
We listed the property on 23rd August and immediately began contacting our buyers registered with us and a sale was agreed on 3rd September – less than ten days later!
